The lighthouses of

Lover's Leap Lighthouse
 
 
 
Located 20 Miles south of Mandeville.

The legend tells of two young slaves who leapt to their death rather than be parted.
The reality is a near vertical escarpment that plunged 1500 feet to the sea below.
From the platform here, with nothing but sea and sky in view you can imagine that you are a bird, and sometimeslook down and see small aeroplanes making their way along the coast beneath you.
On the other hand, if you have no head for heights it is best to stay in the car.
